We moved to the Chabanga Lodge very nice place,but wireless service sucks will make it a little tougher to blog . First shots are the lodge ,last shots are of new construction don't think that ramp meets osha standards

Monday on a thursday in Solwezi

Woke up this morning to downpour and a flat tire.We got the tire changed and are guys picked up,then on the way to the mine everyone was walking away from the mine telling us the mine was shut down.As we got close to the mine there we trees and branchs and rocks trying to block the road,and when we got to the mine we were locked out.It's not my fault it's Africa.

Bizzare foods

Nothing like some mopani worms to get your meal started off right. We when to a new resturant tonight ,so we had to try the mopani worms rather chewy but not bad at all. Also had some shimp that could also be used as paint stripper ,tasted good hope they don't come back to bite me tomarrow.

Concrete truck Zambia style

This is a one and a half yard truck you load the material in the box and it loads it in the truck and mixes it up. The owner of the truck asked us how many cubes we needed and we told him 9 and he said o a small job can get it done in a day. That's half what we usually pour in 45minutes in the US every morning. We haven't been able to find sand,but today emmanuel said I know where we can get sand he lead Rod though the jungle to a village where they said they would dig it out of the river for us.Rod wasn't to sure he would make it back alive . It's never dull in africa.
